Research Lab for Speech and Music

The Research Lab for Speech and Music is run by the four language institutes and the Institute for Music of Faculty III, University of Oldenburg. This lab offers various options for carrying out empirical experiments, which include visual and acoustical perception studies, speech production experiments, reaction time measurements and electrophysiological studies (electroencephalography, event-related potentials, psychophysiological polygraphy).

The lab contains an IAC audiometric screening cabin for measurements that require reduced noise immission, as well as audiometry devices, computer based workstations with sound recording options for acoustic signals, and various EEG measurement systems with active or passive electrodes for deductions of event-related potentials and localisation measurements.
